Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast cut into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil divided
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • cup parmesan cheese adjust for desired thickness
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Season the sliced chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, add a bit more olive oil if needed. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant but not browned. Add dried herbs.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low. Pour in the milk, Dijon mustard, and gradually add Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Adjust the thickness by adding more Parmesan if needed. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste preferences.
  • Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon some of the sauce over them, and simmer on the stovetop until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.
